In numerous field studies, well-planned bioremediation efforts have been shown to completely eradicate contaminants within an affected site, or at very least bring the levels of contamination back to within government-mandated standards. Sites using bioremediation, or a combination of bioremediation with other techniques such as air sparging, vapor stripping, or excavation, can often be reclaimed for development in weeks or months versus several years or more for most other methods.
