TECHNICAL FAQ
Q> How deep should I install the injection points?

A> For soil and ground water treatment the injection points should be set with the screened interval at the same elevation as the target contamination zone. Please remember that in ground water, most of the injected microbial solution will be injected at the top of the screened interval. This is because the water pressure in the aquifer around the well screen increases with the depth. For soil injection, you should also consider the downward gravity drainage once the solution enters the soil around the well screen.

With LNAPL, you should also consider that there may be a "smear zone" in the soil above a fluctuating water table. If you have a smear zone, your well screen should be set at the same elevation as the smear zone.
